E.A. Weinstein: CEO & Creative Director

 

 

E.A. Weinstein founded Shelley Whitman Associates in response to the serious challenges faced by academics and small businesses during the pandemic. Drawing on nearly two decades of experience in higher education, Eric envisioned an agency that combines the expertise of innovative humanities scholars, award-winning filmmakers, leading business professionals, and top digital media specialists. Together, they have built a new kind of agency capable of delivering best-in-class service for the rapidly evolving needs of businesses, academia, and the public sector.

Stan Kuruvilla: Director of Marketing

 

 

Stan is an early stage / SMB growth advisory leader with Shelley Whitman.  Stan’s education is in Economics, Computer Science and Law, with particular emphasis in copyright, trade secrets and trademark in law school.  Beyond this core education, Stan has completed executive programs at Wharton (Philadelphia) and the Indian Institute of Management (Kozhikode, India) relating to innovation, product management and product marketing.  His passion for content and brand has led to coursework at cultural education centers, namely Instucen Trust and Jnanapravaha (both Mumbai), covering Art History, Iconography, Indian Archaeology and Culinary Archaeology.
Before joining Shelley Whitman Associates, Stan has worked at the law firm Faegre Drinker, as well as at Oracle, eBay, PayPal and Atlassian.  Additionally, Stan has a passion for early stage / SMB companies, having worked with 15+ of them across venture ecosystems in Arizona, California and Colorado and international ones in India and Japan. David Nathan: Director, sales & CLient Services 

 

 

David Nathan has more than twenty years experience in Media, Sales, Advertising and Communications, and is recognized as one of the primere sales directors in the Mid-Atlantic region. He was a founding advisor to Shelley Whitman Associates. For more than two decades he ran a successful portrait photography and videography business while simultaniously  working across all sectors of the Moving and Storage industry. David was the founder of C.O.W.S. (Containers On Wheels) which provides residential-friendly portable storage containers to homes and businesses throughout North America. David also works as an expert consultant to many industry start-ups, where he mentors the next generation of innovative American business leaders.

Andrew Rivenbank: Senior Videographer

 

 

Andrew Rivenbark is a professional videographer from New Jersey who is passionate about using his skills to tell stories through documentaries. Andrew joined SWA when he realized they had a shared mission, helping others find their voice and tell their stories well. Andrew’s love for film, combined with his formal education in business management and marketing, drives him to help SWA’s brands and businesses create stories that can impact the world. Andrew has a popular YouTube channel which helps teach videography through practical example as he works for socal and commercial media clients.  He will be opening SWA’s new Georgia office in August 2024. 

 

Aside from his work in videography, Andrew is also an enthusiast of martial arts. He holds a 4th-degree black belt in Tang Soo Do, a Korean martial art, and is a part-time instructor for people of all ages. Andrew currently lives in New Jersey with his wife, Hannah, along with their dog, Camper, and cat, Mr. Bond.

Austin Ryder – Media Creator and Production Specialist

 

 

Austin Ryder is a versatile media creator, videographer, and production specialist at Shelley Whitman Associates, based in Philadelphia, PA. With a background in filmmaking, video editing, and creative production, Austin brings a wide range of technical and artistic expertise to our team.

Austin attended the prestigious Pratt Institute’s film school, where he  honed his skills in directing, cinematography, and post-production, producing a variety of high-quality commercial, social media, and branded content. His work spans multiple genres, including short films, comedy sketches, and music videos, showcasing his ability to craft visually compelling and engaging narratives.

In addition to his professional work in video production, Austin is proficient in graphic design, sound design, and music composition, which allows him to create cohesive and polished media projects that align with strategic marketing goals. His experience includes directing music videos, developing branded content for businesses, and contributing to innovative marketing campaigns.

Thomas Etzkorn: Videographer & Copywriter

 

 

Thomas Etzkorn is a SUNY New Paltz alumni and a graduate of the David Lynch Cinematic School of Arts, where he earned his MFA in screenwriting. A New York native and passionate storyteller, Thomas grew amid a community surrounded by writers, musicians, and artists. Prior to joining Shelly Whitman Associates, Thomas worked in various roles from production assistant to video editor. Most notably Thomas worked as a technical assistant with the New York Film Academy. He later would intern, as a member of the festival jury, with the Student World Impact
Film Festival. He has extensive production skills and seeks to create content that will resonate well with audiences. Thomas believes video is a transformative medium that can inform, inspire, uplift, and engage.

Jacob Farrara: Videographer

 

 

Jacob Farrara is an Emmy award winning video editor who grew up with a family of cinematographers, nurturing his passion at a young age. Jacob graduated from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Film/Cinema/Video Studies in June 2020. Prior to working with Shelley Whitman Associates, Jacob worked for Comcast Spectacor, a leading sports and entertainment company making television and video programming and live sports coverage for the Philadelphia 76ers and Philadelphia Flyers.  Jacob has also been a Video Producer and Editor at Nerd Street, a gaming and esports company, where he worked on NBC’s “For The Win.” He has also created various video content for promotional, marketing, and entertainment purposes, using his skills in cinematography, audio engineering, lighting and post-production. Jacob is passionate about creating engaging and impactful stories through video, and values collaboration, creativity, and innovation. We think you’ll find his enjoyment of people, upbeat attitude and professional approach to work on-set and off make him a pleasure for clients to work with.

June Jing (J.J.) Liu: Production Manager & Content Creator 

 

 

June Jing (J.J.) Liu is an accomplished filmmaker and photographer with a passion for exploring the arts and conveying the ecologies and lives of diverse regions and generations through her work. With a Bachelor of Arts in Sound from Beijing Film Academy and a Masters in Filmmaking and Cinema Studies from NYU, June has developed a strong foundation in film direction, film aesthetics, sound theory, and Asian cinema. Her contributions as a sound designer to multiple short films have earned selections at the Beijing International Film Festival. She has also directed and produced her own short films, which have been translated into multiple languages. June’s professional experience includes working for the New York Asia Film Festival, organizing screenings and Q&A sessions for Queer student films, and curating global film news for Deep Focus. June’s academic interests encompass Asian studies, film noir, sound, and Queer studies. She is dedicated to creating possibilities for unseen areas and people through film. Outside of her professional pursuits, she enjoys pottery, traveling, and relaxing in cars while listening to music and enjoying the breeze.

Prof. Sharon Sullivan-Rubin: Academic &

Educational Training Specialist 

 

Dr. Sharon Sullivan–Rubin is an Assistant Professor of Education and Clinical Coordinator at Touro University, NY and project consultant for SWA. A former urban educator, she trained with the late Grant Wiggins at Authentic Education in Understanding by Design (UbD). Sharon earned her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Rowan University, a Masters degree from Montclair State University, and her BFA from the School of Visual Arts. Sharon began her career as  a commercial photographer, creating print and TV ads for A-List clients like Cosmopolitan, Vogue and Prevention Magazines, Seagram’s and BASF.  She joined Shelley Whitman Associates in May 2024, bringing her extensive expertise,  experience and creative vision to our team.

Prof. Elina Lampert-Shepel : Academic & Educational Training Specialist 

 

Prof. Elina Lampert-Shepel is Chair of Education and Special Education Master’s Programs at Touro University, and project consultant for Shelley Whitman Associates.  A Vygotskian scholar, Elina’sresearch interests include cultural-historical psychology and activity theory, culture and cognition, learning as praxis, socially constructed and culturally mediated learning and development, communities of practice, and developing and sustaining transformational change in education and beyond.  Elina has conducted cross-cultural research on the development of reflexivity as a higher psychological function, teachers’ learning as praxis, and the development of  transformative agency. She presented her research internationally and worked as a researcher and teacher educator in Eastern and Western Europe, the Middle East, and Brazil.

Prof. Luke Stromberg: Academic Content Specialist

 

 

 

Prof Luke Stromberg teaches literature and composition at St Joeseph’s University and Eastern University, and is a Film & Humanities content consultant for Shelley Whitman Associates. Nikita Chhatwani– Head of the Web Development

 

 

Nikita Chhatwani is the Head of the Web Development Team at Shelley Whitman Associates. As a highly skilled web developer, Nikita excels in designing and developing responsive, user-friendly websites using HTML, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript. With her specialization in WordPress and Shopify, she provides versatile solutions that cater to a wide range of client needs.

Nikita stays at the forefront of industry trends, ensuring she delivers innovative and cutting-edge web solutions. A dedicated listener, she works closely with clients throughout the entire process—from the initial design phase to the final launch—to create a website that aligns with our marketing research team’s recommendations, while also reflecting the client’s vision and business goals.

Paul Angelo Soltero is a passionate website designer with a Bachelor’s
degree in Information Technology from Cebu Technological
University in the Philippines. For the past
three years, he’s been helping companies and artists bring theirunique visions to life through creative and intuitive web design.

Shelley Hunt-Copywriter

 

 

Shelley Hunt is an Editor, Copywriter and Freelancer who has worked in the writing field for over 30 years. Shelley’s education is in English, Creative Writing and Gender Studies. In Utah she ran writing workshops in the Salt Lake City area and was the President and Director of Writers at Work International Writing Conference in Park City, Utah. She has taught Poetry Writing to survivors of domestic abuse at the YWCA. Shelley’s currently working on a book of poetry and a memoir. Shelley believes in nurturing and encouraging young writers, as well as those well established in their field, into branching out into new areas of creativity.

Tara Giancaspro-Copywriter

Tara Giancaspro is a professional writer serving as a copywriter in the advertising and public realtions division of Shelley Whitman Associates. Tara is the creator of xoxo Gossip Giancaspro, a weekly Substack (taragiancaspro.substack.com) featuring personal essays and pop culture commentary. She has released music under the name Sweaty Lamarr, available to stream everywhere, including “Abbey, I’m Sorry I Stole Your Man,” a Jolene sequel from Jolene’s perspective. She has been published in Bullshit Lit, Wig-Wag Mag, Drunk Monkeys, Meow Meow Pow Pow Lit, Dusk Magazine, and Roi Fainéant. Tara is lives in New Jersey with her two perfect children, Simone and Lugosi, who are also cats.

Vi Anne Santiago-Marketing Research Officer

 

Vi Anne Santiago is a Business Management graduate from the University of the Philippines with a strong background in marketing and external affairs. With a passion for applying academic knowledge in real-world contexts, [Employee’s Name] has been an active participant in co-curricular activities, including the UP Clark-Subic Student Council and various advocacy groups such as Rise for Education and AIESEC in UP Clark. Em Libo-On: Marketing Research and Web Support

 

 

Genevieve “Em” Libo-On is a versatile Marketing Research Officer at Shelley Whitman Associates, contributing to the Marketing Research team while also assisting the Web Design team as an Assistant Web Designer. Em brings a wealth of experience in marketing technology and customer support, as well as hands-on expertise in web development, gained through her previous roles at top global firms.

Before joining Shelley Whitman Associates, Em worked at RealPage, Inc., where she served as a Product Support Specialist for two years. During this time, she leveraged her skills in WordPress, HTML, and web design to assist in creating functional, user-centric websites that enhanced client engagement and adhered to the latest industry standards. Her work at RealPage exemplified her ability to integrate technical expertise with a focus on delivering seamless user experiences.

Prior to her role at RealPage, Em held various positions at leading companies, including TaskUs, where she was a Senior Content Moderator, and Sutherland, where she worked in Information Technology Help Desk Support. She also has extensive experience in quality assurance, having spent several years as a Quality Assurance Specialist at both Transcom and ResultsCX.

     Akkiara Sawali: Strategic Economist and Marketing Analyst

 

 

Akkiara Symonn Sawali is a marketing researcher officer,  economic anaylist and client support officer for Shelley Witman Associates. Akkiara earned an M.A. in Economics from the University of the Philippines. She brings a strong analytical background to the team, skillfully leveraging data-driven insights to craft compelling reports and drive successful lead-generation initiatives. Akkiara excels in communicating ideas, connecting minds, and providing recommendations that foster mutual growth and development. Her experience spans across research, data entry, technical writing, and project management. Her ultimate goal is to affect positive social change, and she hopes to create exponential ripples of such impact as she joins Shelley Whitman Associates as a Marketing Research Analyst and Lead Generation Specialist.

 

Kenneth Nguyen

                                      

 

Kenneth Nguyen is a cinematographer from Herndon, Virginia. He joined SWA as our videography intern in 2024, and currently divides his time between Philadelphia and his work for SWA and Charlottesville, where he attends the University of Virginia completing a double major in Computer Science and Cinematography. Prior to his work with SWA, Kenneth worked as the videographer for VMagazine and The Moth: MainStage at Paramount Theater, and was Director of Photography for the  short film “I See You,” which recently premiered.  He plans to continue working with SWA after his graduation next year in a permanent videography and editing role.

Jaden Annan

                                                            

 

Jaden Annan is a filmmaker and actor from Herndon, Virginia. He joined SWA as a videography intern in May of 2024. He is a rising Senior presently completing his degree  at Virginia State University.  Jaden has directed several projects for the Virginaia State University film club, of which he is a founding member.  Jaden is presently working with his long-time friend and SWA co-worker Kenneth Nguyen as Director of a  short original  film, and is also contributing to a major new full-length documentary film on the poet Walt Whitman.  Jaden is committed to constantly learning more about the craft, and improving his abilities as a filmmaker.
